Tagging with Research Themes

Research themes are the ties that bind UNIWeb's various components together and create a cohesive research network. Research Themes create the backbone of UNIWeb's networking tools - search results, , and Research Clusters. You can create a powerful presence for yourself on UNIWeb with your , , , , and , and by tagging these items with relevant Research Themes, you ensure that these components will show up in other users' search results, connection maps, and Research Clusters related to those themes.
In short, by tagging with Research Themes, you can make your institution's UNIWeb instance into a more connected and helpful network, for yourself and for your peers.
From your page, go to Profile.
In the Research Themes section, click Edit.
Browse and/or search through the dropdown lists of Research Themes on the left side of the centre panel, and click the checkbox next to any Research Themes that you would like to display on your profile. Research Themes that you have previously added will be checked off already.
Review your current list of selected Research Themes on the right side of the centre panel, under Current Selection. You may click and drag them to reorder how they are displayed on your profile.
Click Save.
In the Research Themes section, click Edit.
Review your current list of selected Research Themes on the right side of the centre panel, under Current Selection. Click the X to the right of any Research Theme to remove it.
Click Save.
Click the checkbox to the left of any publications that you would like to tag.
In the right panel, click Add tags.
In the Tag selected publications with... dialog, select Research Themes in the drop-down menu that you would like to tag onto your selected publications.
Click Apply labels.
Click the checkbox to the left of any publications from which you would like to remove particular tags.
In the right panel, click Remove tags.
In the Remove tags from selected publications dialog, click the checkbox next to the tags that you would like to remove from your selected publications. Tags are listed in alphabetical order regardless of the selected publication - selecting a particular tag will remove it from any selected publication where it has previously been applied.
Click Remove labels.
By tagging your research places with Research Themes, you are increasing the number of keywords that visitors can use to find your Research Place in search results or by filtering on the Map page. Your Research Place will also be displayed in the Research Cluster corresponding to the tagged Research Theme.
Navigate to the Research Places section, and click the Edit button to the right of the Research Place that you would like to tag.
In the data entry form for the selected Research Place, click the Add button to the right of the Research Themes heading.
In the Research Themes dialog, select a research theme from the drop-down menu.
Click Save.
Navigate to the Research Places section, and click the Edit button to the right of the Research Place that you would like to untag.
In the data entry form for the selected Research Place, click the Edit button to the right of the Research Theme that you would like to remove.
In the Research Themes dialog, click Delete.
In the centre panel, locate and click on the Resource that you would like to tag. This will take you to the public profile of that Resource.
In the right panel, click Edit Profile. This will take you to the profile editor for that Resource.
In the centre panel, navigate to the Research Themes section, and click the Edit button to the right of the section heading.

In the centre panel, locate and click on the Group that you would like to tag. This will take you to the public profile of that Resource.
In the right panel, click Edit Profile. This will take you to the profile editor for that Group.

Click Save.
From your page, go to Profile.
You can tag one or many of your publications with Research Themes. Once a publication has been tagged with at least one Research Theme, it will be displayed on your, and in the Research Cluster corresponding to that Research Theme.

Note: Removing Research Theme tags from publications will immediately remove them from the search results and Research Clusters that correspond to those Research Themes. Publications will remain listed on your as long as they are still tagged with at least one Research Theme.

By tagging your with Research Themes, you are increasing the number of keywords that visitors can use to find your Resource in search results or by filtering on the Resources page. Your Resource will also be displayed in the Research Cluster corresponding to the tagged Research Theme.
